Best States

There was recently a thread for the worst states, which provided us with several pages of entertainment....so I'll see what I can do with this thread, what do you think is the best state, and why?

I'm gonna say Flordia, because it's where my second home is, and it's always better there!

The best state is...

New Hampshire!

We are home to FIRST, have all 4 seasons, lots of scenery, and there's alot to do.

In tie for 2nd would be Maryland (especially Annapolis) and Virginia (Near Assateague Island).

oooohhh....Wisconsin!!! But i have to goto work so ill provide reasons later!

DanLevin247 03-09-2002 16:43

I should have added. . . BEST STATE OTHER THAN YOUR OWN STATE!

well, since upstate NY is so amazingly different from LI/NYC, i'm going to say upstate NY. it has great hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, and tons of other stuff in between. if i can't say NY cause i live in NY, i'll go with vermont, because it's more or less the same, and my best friend lives there (i wish i could go up and see him more, but it's kind of a long drive...) :p.

nah, long island is by far the best state, it has a lot of technology corperations and you can find anything you want around towns. (yes, i do consider long island its own state now since it is the complete opposite of rural new york, and new york city is part of long island, it would be if we were to secede from new york)

Indiana!

I didn't see Indiana on the worst state thread, so it's gotta go on this one then. I wouldn't call it the best state but hey it's got a lot of entertainment... we have the Colts (does that even count?), we have the Pacers!! boom baby! For all those femenists, there's the Fever (go WNBA!), we have a hockey team their name escapes me at the moment. Oh yes, a little thing called the Indy 500, Brickyard 400 and that Grand Prix thing! That's all I can think of sports-wise since I could care less about that stuff.
Oh yes how could one forget about the endless rows of corn?? What comes to your mind when you think of the state of Indiana? corn??? other various crops?? Or some good robotics teams? :p

That's my 2 cents, comment on Indiana as you please, please.

Oh yes, did I mention we have our own quarter now? :)

DanLevin247 03-09-2002 20:35

Indiana quarter eh? Guess I'm going to have to "steal" one from work.

Jon K. 03-09-2002 20:50

For some reason I am thinking that the Indiana quarter doesnt have a race car on it for the simple fact that none of the quarters have black on them, whereas your tires do.:p

my vote would have to go to the fabulious state of Wisconson!! They've got corn, dairy foods including CHEESE, and most important of all America's Football team the GREEN BAY PACKERS!!!
