Connecting Raspberry Pi to network?
 

Is there any thing saying that it is not allowed to have a Raspberry Pi have a WiFi adapter to connect it to the the robot's wifi network? I was planning on using 1 of the 2 ethernet ports on the router for the network camera (other for the roboRIO, and connect the Pi to the robot's network wirelessly so my team didn't have to buy a network switch and wait for it to be delivered.

I'm 100% sure that wouldn't be allowed or work at competition.

I highly encourage you to check out R63 to determine whether or not it would even be legal.

Even if it were legal, remember that the radio is programmed to be in bridge mode at competitions. Teams have no access to the WPA keys used by the field, so even if you got it working back home, once you got to the competition, you wouldn't be able to connect to that network anymore.

Actually, you do have access to your key. But, since you shouldn't be connecting to the FMS wifi network with other devices, I won't tell you how.

You could purchase a mini switch as (http://www.amazon.com/Linkskey-5-Por...dp/B001BEFRBQ), power it through your VRM (careful to make certain it is connected to the correct voltage and polarity). Connect an Ethernet cable between one of the switch outputs to the available radio port. Then connect your camera and pi to the other two using Ethernet cables.
