Serious question: What if the GDC really did introduce new defense towards the end of build season? I think it would add a realistic twist (How often do you get specifications and requirements that never change in the real world?) that would challenge the top teams and keep things exciting. The game would not inherently change (no robot or design would be significantly negatively affected) but most teams would have a little extra to do if they wanted to tackle the new defense.

As if the update wasn't bad enough, I was just talking to all my bulk suppliers of regolith. And you would not believe that everyone is out of stock due to a last minute massive order from some robotics group.

Yeah this had us scrambling for a few minutes trying to figure out what was going on. How did they get permission to put that in an official update document?

I think it's hilarious and it has given our team a much-needed moment of levity in the middle of a desperation packed weekend.
