I got the idea for this thread from this thread! So ... what is your favorite Disney/kids movie?

Disney: The Incredible Journey, The Three Lives of Thomasina, That Darn Cat, The Aristocats, The Cat From Outerspace (see a pattern here?) The Lion King and to break the pattern, Old Yeller, The Rescuers, Freaky Friday, Pete's Dragon, Tron, and The Nightmare Before Christmas (Touchstone, but still Disney)

Non-Disney: Willy Wonka, Babe (I and II), Milo and Otis, The Last Unicorn.

The Little Mermaid!!!!!!!!! Its like the best movie ever!!!!

I vote for the original Fantasia.

I don't care for Disney, too much, but I must admit, great film...

Disney-wise ->

Something Wicked This Way Comes rocks like a cradle. Fantasia (<-- see avatar), and Fantasia 2000 were each excellent.

My favorites, though, have to be Toy Story 1 and 2. They're just jam-packed with side-splitting, generation-spanning humor, a nice social message, and neat eye candy, too.

Disney's really good stuff is never just a 'kid's' movie, though.

In that vein, I still greatly enjoy Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - both musicals.

I love Beauty and the Beast! I just pre-ordered it. :) Also though, I happened to love Lilo & Stitch as well.

yeah! Chitty Chitty Bang Bang rocks the house! I watched that movie over and over as a child.

does Never Ending Story Count! or Land Before time. Yes i'm going back quite a few years but they are some good kids movies. I like everything but fantasia. i was a child then now im a immature man who likes comedy, and action type movies. like jackie chan and kung pow

Gah!! Yes! I can't believe I omitted The Neverending Story.

Duh. It most certainly counts, and it's also one of the best fantasy movies ever and stuff. Wow. Yes.

I Marveled at the Feat disney created when they created A nightmare before christmas!

If anyone has or seen the dvd of it they would know it took forever just to film the movie...frame...by frame and just to see it accomplish what they wanted was great.

Hehe... I know all the songs too!

And another one that I liked that is more recent is SOOOO

SPY KIDS 2!!!!!

SO SO SO SO SO MUCH BETTER THAN SPY KIDS 1!!!!

Fantasia and Beauty and the Beast.....ok, so i'm a huge disney freak...the very best character of all time is in Fantasa (that would be Chernabog) and there's really no compitition there....

I'd have to go with 20th century fox

The Iron Giant and Mulan are the greatest animated movies ever made.

Toy Story 1 and 2.
Then, close after, The Emperor's New Groove.
Distant third: Lion King

I just dread when Hix replies. I know he will say "The kid is doopin' ya, Goof!"

and then something like..."Max would never do that to me"
And then the infamous--

"Check the map, Goof."

Okay...let me find a list of all the Disney animated features and talk about the really good ones.

Alice in Wonderland. What a trip.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. When I was like, 5, this was awesome. Go, Pooh. I had it on VHS.

1987! I was born, and the following year, Oliver and Company came out. With Billy Joel as the Artful Dodger. I didn't watch it until several years later, but it's pretty good.

Beauty and the Beast IMAX was spectatular.

The Lion King is brilliant and quotable. When someone's hanging on the jungle gym, you kick their foot and whisper "I killed Mufasa." ...gets them every time. I never tried that though.

Now...I was shocked to find this out... but A Goofy Movie ...definitely a work of true genius, one of the greatest Disney movies of all time... a piece of art in more ways than one...
(Are you ready for this?) WAS MADE FOR TV AND WENT STRAIGHT TO VIDEO. Well, there you have it. It is the most underrated movie of all time. I rest my case.

I'll watch the Emporer's New Groove and report back tomorrow.

A Goofy Movie was a full theatrical release in the spring of 1995. It's sequel, however, was released as direct-to-video.

This might be a little off topic but, last year didn't Dean say that Disney was supposed to follow around a FIRST team and make a show?

Pirates of the Carribean is the all-around best Disney movie ever.
Toy Story is the funniest, and Toy Story 2 is great as well.
The Emperors New Groove was hilarious, too.
And there are so many more great movies, though some new ones have been lackluster. To name a few classics: Alladin, Mulan, Lion King, Land Before Time, Duck Tales...seeing how many great movies they've had, and probably will never be topped, it's just amazing.

ohhh wow Disney movies are the greatest!!

Snow White, Little Mermaid, and Cinderella are my favorite classics.. I loved the Parent Trap when it came out too.. :D

hehe my friend is making me watch Mulan this weekend because I never saw it... lol she went out and bought Mulan 2 about about 4 AM a few days ago when it came out, and she watched it before school! it's all she's been taking about.. :p

Disney has always been a part of my life I love the many films and interactivity that they come out with, and I just have to think twice when people say that Disney is evil... Its just not true.

One of my many goals in life is to go to Disney World, and I just missed it by two years :( why did I not know about FIRST then????

gah how could I forget the incredibles?? that's definitely up there on my list of favorites.. although I'd have to stay I'm still partial to the disney classics.. :)

also.. whoever said kingdom hearts.. I've gotta agree with you there, kingdom hearts rocks! :D
