question about qualification for nationals

Can anyone tell me if the team spirit award that my team won at regionals counts as a "judged award" worth two points? If anyone can answer this it would be great, thanks a lot

Yes, I believe that all awards are considered 'judged'. Our Leadership In control Award counted for 2 of our 5, so I believe that the Spirit award counts for 2, too!

I believe they use the qualifer 'judged' to exclude awards such as the Play of the Day, which is voted on by all teams (and not by the panel of judges). Of course, it may also be used to exlude awards such as Top Seed, which isn't judged and is on the list elsewhere anyway.

if i remember correctly they do count the Team Spirit award towards the nationals. Gotta check the rule book it might say something there. I'll get back to you on that one.

the Delphi Driving Tomorrows Technology Award, Regional Finalist and Most Incredible Play of the Day award I know counts because my team had just made it into the nationals with just those awards. like i said i'll get back to you on that specific award
