Umm, probably because of two things.

1. - It's Shakespeare! Thanks.

2. - It's the best 'teen-aimed' movie I've ever seen, honestly. It's that good. I've never, ever, ever heard anyone think poorly of it, and I'm really surprised. It's intelligent, funny, thoughtful, touching, and based on a timeless story.

Yea, 10 things is a great movie, I'd say Moulin Rouge but I only like saw 3 minutes of it, so I'll pass judgement for now, I'm sure I'll be forced to watch it eventually :-p

Let's not forget about the original Dune (one of my favorite books, ironically enough), Star Trek IV (The one about whales), Smoke Signals, Assassins, 2001 (another amazing book), Henry Fool, and The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (yet another great book/series).

Oh yeah, and Moulin Rouge definately is NOT one of the worst movies. It's one of my favorites.

When George Lucas unleashed Jar Jar Binks upon the world people were wondering what was going through his mind. It was a relapse.
The only movie I ever walked out of the theater covering my face in shame so no one could say I actually paid money to see it.

Anything with Sylvester Stalone has to suck... except Tango and Cash, that movie ruled...

And how could you not like Austin Powers?? All three of them were hillarious(sp?). I mean Mike Myers is a comedic genius and he plays most of the characters ya gotta like an actor that can manage to do all that especially with all the comstumes and make up.
