I see springs and pneumatic cylinders on the catapult, but I'm not really sure how they work together to launch the boulders. Any ideas?

What we did on our robot is used the pistons to pull the springs back and then used a latch system to hold it down and then primed the cylinders and release the latch. I am not sure what they are doing but it might be something like that.

I think the issue in 2012 was that is was a bridge grappler... :P

It was AWESOME to see the one time Endeavour deployed this mechanism in a match. If it had not been made illegal, we would have seen them driving along the edge of the bridges to fine tune the balance (as told to me by one of their mentors).

This year's robot is similarly inspiring! We look forward to playing with you at Lone Star.

When I was there over the summer, there was a full-size FRC Practice Field set up there, with the blue banners in a huge circle around it.

I was freaking out during the tour because I didn't know this beforehand, and the tour guide had no idea what I was freaking out about.

I learned this when I read the book that came with this year's KOP. Definitely couldn't have a better location IMO.

I have no idea why it took me until now to notice that drivetrain is a octagon just like ours. :)
