Team 1241 proudly presents our 2016 FRC robot: Black Mamba
![]() Specs Drive: 6 Wheel drive with 8” pneumatic wheels Driven through custom gearbox with approximate top speed of 11ft/sec Rectangular extrusion/gusset structure with CNC’d plastic wedge inserts to go over all mobility defenses Intake: -Geometry can defeat Portcullis, Cheval, Drawbridge, and Sally Port defenses -Intake rollers allow ball possession over the bumper into conveyor - Roller speed approximately 18ft/s -Intake Joint is powered using 2 MiniCIM motors through custom gearbox and sprocket reduction Conveyor/Popper: -Belt driven with Lexan funnels -Popper is a custom CNC’d base structure actuated using pneumatic cylinder and guide pegs through bushings for consistent feeding -Custom enclosure system “Halo” to keep the ball steady during driving and shooting Shooter: -4” Urethane wheels powered by 2 775Pro motors -Hood is angled for batter shots, as well as other shots in courtyard -Turret powered by Bag motor through Versa planetary and a custom sheet metal gear See you at GTR East, Waterloo, and North Bay! ![]() ![]() |
