Starting Position of the Robot

Hello!

Sorry if someone else has answered this question, or it is in the rulebook, but I can't seem to find any documentation on it. What is the starting position of the robot during competition?

Thanks!

In the neutral zone, on the opposite side of the midline as your drivers.

So we can place the robot anywhere on the line?

Re: Starting Position of the Robot

Yes. You can either place it in your adversaries' courtyard (where it must be touching both their driver station wall and the side guard rail) or in the space between the mid-line and the autonomous line closest to their courtyard (the one that touches their driver station wall). It does not matter how far you move it as long as those constraints are met. If you are placing it in the neutral zone, you could have it touching the guard rail if you'd like.
