Looking for Scouting App! Post Your Favorites Here!

Hello CheifDelphi,

My team is looking for a scouting app. An example of what we want is something like http://www.frcscout.com .

Here are the features we need:
  • "Decent" User Interface
  • Data inputted can be accessed readily easily (cannot require you to make some complicated database yourself...)
Here are some optional feature:
  • Offline capabilities (not necessary though)

Thank you so much!
Isaac Addis, Team 687: NerdHerd

Just out of curiosity, what devices are you scouting on? Thanks.

Either a phone (Android/Apple) or a laptop computer, but mainly phones.

How about SuperScouter? Available on iOS and Android, with offline capabilities for data transfer. The data exports to simple CSV files. Also, you can collect only the data you want with a customized schema.

Try GearScout! I know it doesn't mean as much coming from the dev, but hey, its a quality app, used by several quality teams. available now on Android, and coming soon to iOS

I made one on a google sheet, so you can edit it really easily.https://docs.google.com/a/student.tc...p=docslist_api

Storm Robotics has the perfect solution for you! Try out our very own Stronghold scouting application.

More info and the link to the Play Store is in this following thread.

It is easy to use, very thorough, and completely offline, utilizing QR codes and outputting .csv files which can be opened in excel for easy management and analysis. There is a User app for data entry, and then a Master app for collection and creation of the CSV files. I hope you try it out! We, along with several other teams, have had great success using the app at our respective last competitions.

Okay well the thing is that I tried out the app and I could not find how to access or share the data. Excuse me for being a noob, but how do you do that?

this is my favorite because i made it mah-seyuf... mwahaha!

It is not an app for a phone if thats what you want, buuuut

paper is the way to go!

just download the whole file, print one page per team, then one pit scout page per team (if you so desire), then have one person dedicated to entering in info from the papers to the PC.

sorry if this isnt what you wanted, its still useful though...

I just finished up on the code for a match scouting system for PC that uses controllers! It's super easy to use and almost fun when you memorize or custom-make your button map. Here's a link to the initial post where I list the strengths of the program:
"TO CAMELOT!"

The program automatically saves a .CSV file, just drag it into excel and the data is already organized

The game controllers can be customized to the scouter for better results

The program is completely self contained NO WIFI NEEDED!
