Solo Class C Cross Club

A team is a member of this club if they have crossed the sally port or drawbridge starting from the neutral zone in an official FRC match (practice matches don't count, and plywood practice fields really don't count) and a video link to this accomplishment is posted here.

Senior membership is restricted to teams that have crossed both, with video links to both (doesn't have to be the same match, that would be difficult...).

I finally find a club I can get behind, and what happens? It was during a practice match. We'll come back to you on that in a week and a half.

Team 2471 claim (senior) membership to this club. We had a heck of a time overcoming some networking issues with our auto aim computer, but our defense crossing abilities helped us get into position to captain the second seed alliance at our first district. We mostly stuck with breaking category C from the courtyard because of the added speed and lower chance of error, but as the game progresses we may transition to cycling through them if capturing looks probable.

https://youtu.be/oZJ8QlVA9DA?t=50s Here is our first neutral zone cross of the competition drawbridge. It's very different from the poly carbonate one at our field, but our drivers adapted and got it down. (https://youtu.be/hOeMypodBts?t=32s here is the courtyard side style, A bit more consistent because of the flex in the polycarb version of that defense)

https://youtu.be/jAeMQBNxaUw?t=50s Here is a good shot of our sally port opener, if you continue watching for a few seconds you can see our usual style to just get it out of the way and grab that easy 10 extra points a round.

Team 247 will claim a position with a drawbridge here.

Also capable of doing the sally port much better, couldn't find a video (we weren't given that defense too often, for some reason :D )

I didn't see any robots do a solo class C cross in that match. Did I just miss it?

We have been working on getting the PID in our utility/collector arm set up to due the portcullis and sally port from the neutral zone however as of right now we can do the drawbridge from the neutral zone.

Here's a better shot: http://youtu.be/B78Y0VPx120

When we do the Sally Port in teleop, we're actually running this same routine, which makes the driver's job a lot easier. We also did the drawbridge "manually" a couple times in San Diego, though I don't think anyone recorded a video of that. Fingers crossed we'll have autonomous drawbridge working by the end of Arizona West...

And a 5 point headstart for your alliance if no one spends the time to join this club in teleop.

We just did the drawbridge with the practice robot in under 10 seconds. Sally Port shouldn't be much different.

Hope to post video when we do it in competition tomorrow.

Re: Solo Class C Cross Club

We could do the drawbridge at one point but we realized it wasn't worth the time to try to open it, same with sally port. In the time it takes to open it, we could just shoot a couple boulders in the high goal. We only do the sally port (and not from the neutral zone) if we need it for a breach. I don't think we have ever done draw bridge during competition.

Re: Solo Class C Cross Club

We were able to do C class before the robot redesign. Now we just come from the back and let our alliance partners jump on like everyone else.
