2016 Las Vegas Regional

Just one week away from the Las Vegas Regional!

This will truly feel like an International event:
- 4 teams from China
- 2 teams from Mexico
- 2 teams from Brazil
- 1 team from Germany
- 1 team from Denmark

Looking forward to hearing all the national anthems. I hope the regional planning committee factored enough time into the opening ceremonies, hah!

For those of you who weren't yet aware, The LVRPC officially announced today that pit setup will be permitted on Wednesday evening, 3/30 from 6-8pm. Also note that we are using the second floor of the South Hall at the convention center, so ramps are used from the load-in area.

Team 4276 is looking forward to seeing you all in Vegas!

I was going to make a comment about the Netherlands team, but they've dropped.
That means 10 of 49 teams are from outside the USA! This is going to be fun.

Vegas is scaling up to be a very exciting event. Can't wait to see all the teams.

More outside the US countries will be represented than states! Plan to be standing for a good amount of time during Opening Ceremonies each day. That is a good thing.

One thing to note, the team from Germany is from a US school on a US military base. I'm not sure it we would sing the National anthem for Germany, but something to keep in mind.

Anyone willing to help upload robot pictures for the teams ?

All of these pictures will appear on the TBA android app and make scouting easier.

3200 will make their first trip to Vegas. This could be the toughest event the team has ever competed at. We look forward to competing against some top teams.

Since the webcast is through youtube will you be taking the audio feed directly from the announcer? Since if there is any background music there is a chance that youtube may block the feed.

What a fantastic regional! Team 842 would like to give huge thanks to our partners 987 and 3965 for great matches in eliminations. Definitely could not have won without you guys! A special thanks to 987 for also winning a well deserved chairmens award. Also shoutout to 5199, 295, and our Arizona friends team 60 for a solid match in the finals and qualifying via wildcard. Now to gear up for championships!

Team 4276, the Surf City Vikings, had a blast at Las Vegas. A big thank you to all the teams who helped us place 3rd overall (our highest ever!!!). And thank you to the judges for recognizing the hard work our students put into the robot by awarding us the Quality Award!

An extra big thank you to Team 2144, Gators, and Team 1661, Griffitrons, for accepting our alliance invitations and giving it all you had in the quarterfinals!

And congratulations to Team 987, The High Rollers, on winning (again) and earning the Chairman Award, and to Team 3128, The Aluminum Narwhals, for earning the Engineering Inspiration Award.

Hopefully we can return to Las Vegas again next season!
