Yes thanks! Every battery that measured over ~.021 we checked connections, re-crimped 2, and they improved to around ~.019 or so.

Agreed. We checked all of our battery cables a few weeks ago, and added "star" lock washers between the battery terminals and the cable terminals. We reclaimed two batteries from the "practice" list. Also check that the battery cables aren't fraying/breaking at either end while you're about this; we've pulled at least one "bad battery" back in previous years due to a bad cable. We haven't had any bad Anderson crimps yet, but that's another thing to watch for.

I just looked at one yesterday that had obviously never been crimped at all. The battery connector assemblies in the Kit of Parts need to be treated as unproven and must be inspected carefully by the team before being used.

The KOP battery wire is stiff so we use welding cable for our batteries. The higher wire count makes it more flexible. There have been several instances of the KOP battery cables having been assembled with the wrong polarity. So Alan has said. Treat them as suspect & check them. Good idea for wiring in general no matter who does your wiring.
