Some of the "word associations" beg for explanations

Some of the associations are bizarre, but understandable. Like purplehaze357's Incubus from stellar. Incubus is a musical group, so I can imagine that they may be viewed as stars, thus purplehaze357 thought of the word stellar. Am I on the right track?

But how did monsieurcoffee's mind leap from moustache to global?

monsieurcoffee? Care to elucidate?

Are there others any of the rest of you are curious about?

FotoPlasma 08-10-2002 18:51

Stellar was a popular single from Incubus, a while back.

I have no idea about the "moustache" one, though...

:D

Wasn't Stellar the title track to that CD???

Anyways, I think if I am bored enough I might make a list of all the word(s) that were used in the context of the original purpose of the thread. (whatever that was LOL ) I want to see how many are repeats.

I know moustache was used a few times and once by myself.

I too am curious as to how some words relate, but I guess only the poster will know some of the more far-fetched obscure ones.

please open the thread brandon, I have to answer SolderQueen as to where mitochondian came from. (Not Biology class by the way! :D )

Yes, "Make Yourself" was the title of the album.... "Stellar" was the first big (maybe the first overall) single that came from the album

MBiddy 09-10-2002 15:16

Know one knows how the mind works. Global could have come from tons of things from moustache. WHO KNOWS??

Hopefully monsieurcoffee has some idea why, since he was the one who came up with the association.

evulish 09-10-2002 16:51

Global = Globe = Head = Face = Hair = Facial Hair = Moustache :) Duh.

Just a guess, though.

Yan Wang 09-10-2002 17:25

I'm sorry I haven't checked this... I know you've all been waiting for my glorious response :D But basically, I was thinking of global studies class when I posted it. We had an amazingly hard test that day, so that was on my mind. I just got it back today after two weeks and am glad to say I got a 98%! Whoo! I am currently brainstorming ideas for a new thread that I will create to amass tons of posts. I'll see if I can come up with something simple in a few weeks. As for now, I'm working on my website, which is linked below in my signature. I haven't uploaded any pages but a welcome thing so don't bother to check it now. I'll post when it's up.

If I were to say "/me is hungry", it would be printed to most people as "* FotoPlasma is hungry".

If you're still unsure as to what it means, drop by Tigerbolt, and ask for a demonstration, or try it out for yourself.

*shudders at RFC's in HTML*

Link them in text like they should be! :D

hmmm lets see, ohm rhymes with roam and as u all know, turkeys roam . If your were to hunt a roaming turkey, you could bring it home and eat it.
