I vote that we meet now (so I don't have to do my papers) and let's come to California. Wisconsin is known for cheese but California had some great cheese commercials and advertisements....hey, whatever happened to those? I actually liked those commercials.

Marc P. 14-10-2002 22:11

This whole thing sounds pretty cheesy if you ask me.

Are you wanting this thread to die...

Marc P. 15-10-2002 07:11

Hm, I should probably make an effort to steer the thread back to where it should be going, Classifieds. I'll re-create another thread from last year- "Random" Where inane prattle such as the like can be carried out with no trouble or thread boundaries. In such an efford to save the thread, I am quiet, generally shy, (until FIRST competitions come around), and enjoy good company.

Amber H. 15-10-2002 11:35

I'll hlep you!
Somebody find me a significant other (Male that is)!

Not too tall. I prefer not to hear the contents of a man's stomach sloshing around when I slow dance with him.
Dark hair and eyes preferred. Red hair is okay too. No blondes with blue eyes though. I've had enough of that thanks.

Umm....over forty and please no more musicians. I'm moody enough on my own already.

/me drives a '99 Civic and is happy enough with it.

What's all this talk about sports?? The only sport thats worth half a dern is a hardcore robotics competition. It demonstrates the power of the brains behind whoever built the robots, and the reflexes/thinking under pressure of the drivers. That's not to say robot designers aren't in shape... how else would they lift the 130lb beats into the crates, and haul huge pieces of sheet metal from place to place ;)

Anyway, for those single ladies out there looking for a respectable gentleman, my AIM s/n is DarkBlackFox. You can find out all you wish to know by asking.

Hey now....theres a difference between being safe and being stupid...

yes in soccer you have the ground with grass to cushion your fall...in hockey you are on skates and have a sheet of ice below u (plus there is no glass to be shoved into in soccer)

Oh and certain pads are quite nescessary (if ya know what i mean) ;)

Does anyone else think that meeting people online kinda kills off first impressions? I do...it seems too many people are creating stereotypes about the way people look/dress/act. Not seeing a person but talking to them seems to make it easier to actually meet people. People say guys are shallow by not talking to a girl because they're not pretty or something...but somehow they seem to forget that girls are just as shallow or even moreso. I may not be the hottest guy on the earth...I mean, well, I _am_, but some people don't want to admit it...and I'm not quite normal :) Some people seem to try their hardest to ignore me. I guess I'm glad...since I wouldn't really want to be friends with someone like that. But the internet is good for such meetings :) The internet rules...get the hard first-date out of the way and just chat for a few months and then meet.

Anyways, enough of my rant. :) (Brought to you by the usless and unused department of evulish's brain)

Yep yep. I met my guy online ... didn't see him for the first time until MMR. Then the second time I saw him was at Nationals. Third time was IRI. Fourth time, he came to WI for a week (we started going out shortly after that). Fifth time, he came up for my birthday (which was a complete surprise!!) Then I will be going to Indiana with him to his prom in two weeks. Fun :)

i wanna be a dork... can i be one?

anyways, here's the info on me cause i'm bored right now and want to avoid doing work....

my name is sherry, aged 17, from sacramento CA. this is my second year in FIRST. i come from an all girls school, so all skills in talking to guys (if there were any to begin with) have been depleated. but whatever... uhm... i'm easily amused and yet i become bored readily. i'm usually the sideliner person who just watches the maddness reign on the boards, but i'm trying to take a more active role on here now. :) what else? what else? oh! the nickname hacksaw came up because i was the only one who could handle the hacksaw. that and when they were looking for the hacksaw, i (for some reason or another) responded to their call. *shrugs* so the name kinda stuck.

on that note, does anyone want to be my friend? :D

I dont know being a dork takes alot of responsibility do you think you are up to it?

Amy Beth 23-10-2002 21:53

/me <3 dorks

Marc P. 23-10-2002 23:10

/me = dork (i guess, i think, i hope)

<--==O==-->

/me is back after getting too lazy to check CD for a while. I miss much? I saw Wetzel post something about soyo boards... true, soyo are not bad boards, but I feel MSI to be faster :P granted, asus are faster than soyo, and msi, but since i have a KT4 ultra with ddr400, i'm not complaining :D

Anyway, any ladies out there looking for a relatively respectable gentleman, who would still go through the trouble (although it's hardly trouble at all from my perspective) of laying his coat in the mud for a lady to walk on, are more than welcome to IM me at either DarkBlackFox when I'm home, or at work, MPCentauri. (Centauri is my favorite star in the sky, and I hope to start/kinda already have started a business which shall be known as "Centauri Computing."

/me <3 people who <3 dorks.

My name is James Gold. I am 17 years old. I am a high school senior, this year. I am currently enrolled in a high school / community college program, because I hated my former high school. I live in San Jose, California, and I like it here.

I don't want to write a novel here, so if you want to know anything more about me (besides what I post on these forums), IM me or hang out in Tigerbolt for a while...

yeah... i think i'm up for the challenge. people already say that i am a dork. mostly because:
1. i'm on my school's mathletes team
2. i'm taking two sciences this year (AP chem and anatomy & physiology)
3. i want to go to the same school as my calculus teacher (MIT *crosses fingers in hope*)
4. i'm in robotics

I think you may have what it takes all we need now is a second oppinion. Jim? Katie? Anyone? If you think she has what it takes to be a dork post it and she will become a full fledged dork!

i'm always on the computer. sad thing is that i have modem, so people get mad at me because they can't get through the line. and that's practically ALL the time. eh... it's not my fault that my parents won't get me a different connection. i get online when i get home, i'm on after i finish my homework, i get on during my work so as to... erm... uhm... procrastinate. :D and sleep? what's that? i sleep for about 5 hours a night, if i'm lucky that is. argh! too much work... speaking of which i better get back to it... *wanders off*
