Every year, I think that someone on our team ends up asking for a plastic magnet.

I recommend doing this ONLY if your pit announcer seems to have a sense of humor.

The best time to do this is between 7 and 8pm on Thursday, when only the pit crews are still around. They are missing the team meal to stay and work on the robot, so they deserve a good joke.

Actually we like to go with the aluminum magnet...its a lot more subtle so a pit announcer may not suspect a thing, but any good ol robotics kid will have a hearty laugh.

A flux capaciter is being made for me. I'll report if I receive it AND if somebody asks me for it. (I also will have gummy bears on hand and offer them to inquirers...do YOU know the connection?)

Wow, bravo on the resurrection.

In the past, I've asked for a flux capacitor, and other wierder stuff.

One of the best was going up, and having them announce that "Team ABC would like to request your attention, attention please. Team ABC would like to let you all know they have lost The Game." The large amounts of groans were totally worth explaining it to the confused volunteer.
