Congratulations to all of you who have made it to the 2016 World Championship!
With teams from all over the world, everyone will be seeing teams they haven’t competed with before. For my team, and I assume many of you, it would be incredible to know what we’re going to be up against before arriving at the Edward Jones Dome in just a few days. Instead of everyone watching hundreds of matches, I’d like to suggest we combine the pre-scouting efforts so we can share the data and divide the work. I have put together a Google Sheet and a Google Form. The form is for inputting data on individual teams, and the sheet allows you to compare the teams and do any analysis. Let me know if you see any problems with the form, sheet, or data, and I can make any necessary changes.

Congratulations on making it this far! I look forward to playing with your teams at the Championship.

Wow, so many teams we've never had the pleasure of competing with before! I have to go back to 2004, for the last time we were on a Newton alliance with 107. We'll do our best to represent for Florida, along with our good friends from 3932 and the "new-kids-on-the-block" : 5410 and 5482 :)
See a soon,
Eric

Arkansas had 2333, 2338, and 2388. They kept calling 2333's robot "Flynn rider" even though that's our robots name :D

Do you scale? Because then I think you should name the scaler "Rapunzel's hair".

We've had many NE district events with 4176. Sometimes the announcers get confused, but you get used to it.

We had a tape measure climber, it would have been perfect to call it that. it sadly doesn't work for various reasons.

I figured as much, that was more for the information of everyone else.
I was slightly disappointed to see that the third robot on that alliance wasn't 5407. Now that would be confusing.

Yeah Wolfpack (5407) even wears blue like we do.

Re: 2016 Archimedes Subdivision

This weekend was amazing, as always. It was exciting to be a part of the last real FIRST world championship, and it was an honor to win our first judged award at the championship level. Although it didn't go the way we wanted it to for team 2338, we still had a great time and got to work alongside many outstanding teams.

I'd first like to congratulate teams 1501, 1986, 5050 and 4828. To 1501 specifically-wow, you guys really showed up. Until this season, I had heard little about you guys, and now you're certainly a team nobody is going to forget about anytime soon. From one growing Midwest team to another, congratulations on an incredible season, and best of luck in the coming years.

I'd also like to thank our alliance partners, 2064, 4039, and 5401. We were worried about our weak quals performance hurting our performance in elims, but that fear was not to be fulfilled. We all played to the best of our ability. No hard feelings about the red card- at the end of the day, it was accidental, but it was the correct call under the rules. You all were great to work with, and I sincerely hope to be on the field alongside you guys again.

I am working on shipping you the case of tastykakes we promised Annie and the other 2338 team members who hung out in our pit during elims.

Re: 2016 Archimedes Subdivision

Last time we (Team Titanium, FRC 1986) were on Archimedes (2009, our first year at Champs in Atlanta) we didn't get picked for eliminations. What a difference a few years makes.

Thank you Team THRUST (FRC 1501) for making us the #1 selection in the draft. It was fun collaborating with your entire team on the rest of our alliance picks and match strategy. Real clutch pit crew as well. From fixing a camera sheered off by defense to helping 5050 improve their tank treads, you guys were real pros. Fantastic robot as well.

What a shock to have FRC 5050, Cow Town Robotics fall back to us in the serpentine draft. Your 5+ high goals a match made the all offense strategy work. I remember being Looking Forward's dark horse back in 2010. It was a good year for us. You guys helped us do it one better.

We were thrilled to have FRC 4828, RoboEagles in the wings as an aggressive defender with a blocking wall. You never stopped improving that bot to fill the role we needed.

Also wanted to thank FRC 1806, SWAT, for providing strategic advice, match video, and additional wall material to help us better prepare for a dynamite Tesla Alliance. We'll see you at the State Championship.

This alliance averaged 208 points through the Archimedes eliminations with a penalty aided 230 as a high water mark. How did these numbers compare to the other division winners? Carver, Hopper and Newton were downright scary, and Tesla had our full attention.

Archimedes - 208 avg, 230 high
Carson - 196 avg, 222 high
Carver - 233 avg, 275 high (Average based on points before red card deduction)
Curie - 197 avg, 234 high
Galileo - 206 avg, 252 high
Hopper - 237 avg, 270 high
Newton - 222 avg, 260 high
Tesla - 210 avg, 250 high

After winning our first match ever on Einstein by 36 points we thought we had a chance. The alliance had performed at it's peak, earning 240 points while hitting a combined 17 of 18 high goal shots. Congrats to the Tesla Division with 2056, 1690, 3015, and 1405. You ratcheted up the defensive pressure and won the day. You all have our deepest respect and admiration.

We will miss the grandeur of a unified championship experience. Thrilled that we got to walk the hallowed ground of Einstein before this era ended.

3211 had a great time on Archimedes!
Thanks to our alliance partners: 3166,180 and 999. We had a deep run, and really couldn't ask for more.
Congratulations to the winning alliance, you guys were a beast alliance to play against.
We are honored to have won the Tesla-Archimedes EI award, especially among such great teams and programs on those 2 divisions.

We hope to see as many of the new friends we made next year. Still not sure where that will be though =]

Thanks to you as well! I wish I could've been there cheering on in person, but it was awesome watching the matches. 3166 picked one hell of an alliance, and everybody really brought their best. Couldn't be happier with how well we did.

It was a blast playing with all the teams on Archimedes this year. Thanks to all of you for making this such a fun and memorable time. There were some amazing machines out there!

Congratulations to the winning alliance of 1501, 1986, 5050, and 4828. You guys were a real offensive powerhouse, and we loved cheering for you on Einstein.

And a special thanks to our alliance partners 4564, 5842, and 1257. You have great students and mentors, and it was a real pleasure playing with you.

I hope we have a chance to see all of you again. Until then, good luck and we'll see you at the competition.

I'd like to thank 4003, 4564, and 5842 for inviting us to join your alliance. We had a really great time playing with you guys. You made our first trip to Champs something special that I will never forget. We put up a good fight through semifinals, and I hope for the chance to play with any of you in the future.

Congratulations to the winning alliance of 1501, 1986, 5050, and 4828. You had some really top-notch robots and deserved to represent Archimedes on Einstein.

Congrats to all the teams on Archimedes for their outstanding performance. I was impressed by the depth of the field. So many great robots went unpicked, especially strong low goalers; our MAR friends 5624 and 1391 immediately come to mind.

Was just reminiscing about our wonderful time in St. Louis, and being with such a great alliance in Archimedes Playoffs and Einstein. It was a pleasure working with 1501, 1986, and 5050; and being advised by team 1806.
