I had thought of that too, and it would certainly be complicated, but I bet it could be done. If you wanted to bump up to another level of complexity, have an auto that cross and shoots, uses vision to detect which balls are still available (supposing the other alliance has a two-ball auton), and then crosses the requisite defense to get that second ball.

It's certainly possible to go over one, shoot, go over a different one, collect-cross-shoot but man is that pushing the limit.

254 has already gone over one defense and returned through a different defense in auto. It's definitely possible for them to pick up the second ball that way, but I don't know if they have enough time to cross and shoot.
