CSS Scrollbars

Is there a CSS command to change the width of the scrollbar?

activemx 15-10-2002 01:07

add this under css

Code:

BODY{
        scrollbar-face-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-arrow-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-track-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-shadow-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-highlight-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-3dlight-color:#xxxxxx;
        scrollbar-darkshadow-Color:#xxxxxx;
}

replace #xxxxxx wih your own colors.

Is there any way to put graphics on scrollbars? Or maybe text?

Hehe, I've known for quite a while how to change my scrollbar styles :P But no, I don't know how to put text or images in them.

While they can be cool, I wouldn't spend too much time on CSS scrollbars in your site designing; the W3C and non-IE browsers hate them (for what are, for the most part, good reasons). In other words, don't rely on them as part of site design. I, for example, only just noticed that this website had them.
