Wiper Motor Wire Leads
We noticed that on the Valeo Wiper motor has 5 possible wire leads to connect the + and - leads to. There is one row of two leads and another with 3 leads. Which ones do the wires connect to??? Please refer to the handy little diagram following to help us understand exactly what pins you are talking about. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Much regards, Team 27 These represent the 5 pins on the motor in the order that they are arranged. PIN 1 PIN 2 PIN 4 PIN 3 PIN 5 |
I can't remember which ones to connect to, but i thought that it was stated in the docs.
Sorry i can't help |
Connections for the wiper motor
We use 2 different wiper motors: one by Valeo and the other by Denso. The motors have comparable performance specs but the pin arrangement is different. If my memory serves me correctly: With the Valeos, I believe you apply 12V across the two outside pins (terminals) on the row that has 3 terminals. I'll verify that tomorrow at school. The Denso motors are the replacements for the Valeos. They have 4 pins all in a straight line. I believe the 2 outer ones are the ones you use. I apologize in advance if I've told you wrong and you destroy your motors. Good luck.

denso wiper motors
Were we supposed to receive connectors for the denso wiper motor? If not, how do you connect it? How do you make it bi-directional?

Hooking Up the Denso Motors
There are no connectors supplied for the Densos: solderless, crimped terminal connectors over the outside pins (terminals) should allow them to be spun forward or reverse via the Victors. If this does not work, please call me at OSTCNE.
