Similar to this thread I posted before Championships had begun, I'm making a followup post including data from Champs.

Please note that some of these may be tied with other matches, in which case only one of the matches is reported here so the post isn't too long.

Wow. Thanks for the awesome summary of some of the greatest achievements! I'm happy to see that MAR maintained the highest low goal count :D Also 24 high goals by 148's alliance is CRAZY! No video of that one up yet... It's also interesting to note that 6 of the 14 categories were not beat by a championship event match.

I am patiently waiting for the 270 score match to be posted on YouTube. That was a super fun match to watch and 1678/148's strategy was great. We would take balls from the secret passage and dump them in the courtyard, giving them quick access. With their accuracy, they were able to score 21 high goals in teleop. We didn't even get our triple hang that match :ahh:

Does this count for either highest or highest minus penalty, since the penalty was not gameplay related...

The high score only looks at the total score. Adjustments are taken into account when calculating the total score as given by TBA's API. Penalties are subtracted from the total score in the Highest Score without Penalties category, but since red cards are counted in the 'adjustments' category, it is seen as a zero-scoring match.

Here's a link to a video that I took of our 270-point match on Hopper. I apologize for the shameless coverage of our robot but I wasn't initially planning on recording the whole match, just our two ball auto.

Thank you for this - it was a truly insane match. 148 did a great job of grabbing boulders from the opponent's secret passage, and I think that was our best match feeding-wise. You guys were just absolutely on point with your scoring and I think the feeder - "360 no-scope" strategy was a great one for our alliance.

Wow. I counted the 24 high goals:

1 auton + 12 teleop for 148
2 auton + 9 teleop for 1678

Neither of the shooters missed at all.

Message: you'd better defend against these guys or they'll shoot your lights out.

Are you going to IRI?

I was so extremely confused when you guys abandoned that strategy for Einstein. It seemed like you would have smashed the competition of you had kept that up.

You know, it could've been possible to use that strategy during semis against the Carver alliance. They managed to enact that in play it seems for semis 1, but some untimely misses by 148 nullified that.

What would've worked, I believe, was 2990 ejecting the balls into Carver's SP. Yes, they would be giving the boulders away to Carver, but they also will end up canceling out the bowling advantage the HPs have. Carver couldn't cycle quick enough to protect the balls, and leaving a crowd of boulders there would leave 148 open to constantly scoring and scoring. If 1678 and 148 time their shots correctly, the HPs on the Carver alliance would essentially be starving themselves.

So proud our team got on this list! We had an incredible match, and were with other great low goal shooters as well. Go Red!

At MSC how did blue alliance pull 55pts of penalty, it all seemed good minus the CDF propped up, but thats not 55 pts worth. I expected 1 bot to be flipped, another on fire and a fist fight while crossing over the outerworks after the match was over for 55pts of penalty. Could somebody explain?

With 55 seconds remaining in the match, a blue robot pushed a boulder under the CDF preventing the red alliance from crossing it. G12-1. The situation was never corrected so the fouls piled up, one every five seconds. You can see the head ref waving his flag each time. MSC Q130.

That's a tough one to take. The boulder rolled under there when the sally port door pushed it. No robot ever touched it, and I don't see how you could call that deliberate.

Re: Post-Championships Performance Analysis and Awards

I think it was inadvertent since it looked like the robot was trying (but failed) to pick the ball up after it was stuck under the CDF.

I don't think the blue robot, that appears to touch the stuck ball at 1:35 in the video, was deliberately trying to jam it under the CDF. But I can understand how the referees might have seen it that way, and they certainly had the best view. In any case I agree it is a tough call to take.
