Is there a livestream being planned so us Tators who have to stay back in our fields can watch?

As it is 6am local time here in Elk Grove, we won't have the link up for a little while.

Team 701 and 9701 would like to thank 1678, 2073 and 3859 for putting on this amazing competition. Everyone had a balst.

701 would like to thank 1671 and 9973 for allowing us to play with y'all. Both teams really examplify the values of first.

9701 would like to thank 9008 and 2073 for allowing our drivers to get the experience of eliminations as well as being great alliance partners.

Congratulations to 2122, 212 and 6174 for taking home the win.

We'd also like to congratulate 3250 for being finalists. It's been fun watching y'all get better and better throughout the 4 events we've played with y'all. I'm expecting that y'all will be even better next year.

Given this is our last competition until next year, we wish all teams luck at any other events they may be going to this year. We look forward to competing with all the teams in the near future for steamworks.

Re: Capital City Classic 2016 - Registration Open

Wow. What an awesome weekend!

I had such a great time volunteering as an FTA/FTAA and helping out all the teams. To my other FTAs Harsh, Miguel, and Bill - working with you all was very fun and I hope we get to do another event in the future.

Special shoutout to Harsh for winning the Volunteer of the Year award - you worked so hard to put this event on and deserved every bit of it.

As always, thanks to the teams that hosted, the planning committee, and everyone else who helped make the event a success.

Another thanks to Austin Schuh and Andrew Nabors. Without them, we would have had a difficult time running the event. Andrew worked countless hours on Cheesy Arena whenever we were stuck, getting internet access to work, fixing issues we had with the network gear, getting TBA posting to work, and just generally stepping up whenever we had issues. Austin, true to his role on his volunteer badge, was our resident "Robot Whisperer", working to fix and recompile Cheesy Arena, solving connection issues with other team's robots and more - even though he just came to spectate and present his workshops.

All the teams I interacted with were fantastic. Especially 973, as they were very patient and helpful as we tried to get Apophis running on Saturday and Sunday. I was so happy when we ran that test match on Sunday morning and everything worked!

Congratulations to all the teams that made elims as well.

- Nick

Re: Capital City Classic 2016 - Registration Open

CCC was a lot of fun.

First, thank you to all the volunteers and all the teams that showed up! A special thank you to those from the host teams that put a LOT of work into organizing everything, including (but DEFINITELY not limited to) Clayton Ou (the volunteer coordinator), Bill Kendall from 2073, Jack Covert from 3859, and Mike Corsetto from 1678.

I really want to thank 2122 for being willing to call their timeout for us in the finals when 6039's radio (or the FMS, we still aren't sure) had problems. That kind of GP is what makes these events great. Also, that was a well earned win. My sincere congratulations to that entire alliance.

I got to coach the drive-team for 1678 at this event, in preparation for my role as strategist this coming season. As a result I had the opportunity to work closely with 3250, Kennedy Robotics, and 6039, Pi Robotics, through eliminations. I want to thank Rob from 3250 for being an amazing mentor to me; as a much more experienced drive-coach he taught me a lot, and was always there to help me think through match strategy, while encouraging me to call the shots for the alliance. 6039's drive-coach was really easy to communicate with, and also excellent to work with. Also, thank you to 299 for being eager to hop on the field when we needed a sub. It was a pleasure to work with all three teams.

Thanks everyone,
Bryton Moeller
