Buying Batteries for Competition in Shanghai, China

So our team is one of several going to compete and mentor in the China Robotics Challenge in Shanghai this summer. We were unable to ship our batteries with our robot, and are having trouble finding ones we can buy in China. If any team has had experience in buying batteries for international travel, especially to China, we would appreciate if you could share how you solved the problem.

Thank you for your time.

Jonah,
I believe CUYRA will be providing up to 3 new batteries for each of the teams participating at this year's China Robotics Challenge. 3 batteries has been enough the past two years and though I insist on 8-10 when we attend events in the US it turns out 3 can get the job done with a decent charger... AndyMark's DualPro charger handles the 220v power in China (with a plug adapter and works great)!

I can confirm this as well. We used 3 last year on a dual pro and it was more than enough. Granted, Recycle Rush was not as demanding on batteries as Stronghold. However, with more teams competing this year yo can expect longer turn around times which will provide more time for batteries to charge between uses.

On another note, last year CUYRA provided transformers for all the pits, not sure if they're planning on doing this again this year or not.
