The Revolving Light

We are having trouble with where we are supposed to hook up the power for the light. This is the only thing that is keeping us from having a fully operational light. Thank you very much.

Hook the power into a Spike, and attach the PWM cable from the Spike into Relay #8. That way, the light is always on when your robot has power.

If you're wondering about how to get the power into the spike, just plug the red wire into the "M+" terminal on the spike, and run a second wire (for grounding) from one of the screws on the bottom into the "M-" terminal on the Spike.

Light

Jeff has it correct.

If you are having light problems here are some answers:

Light rotating - no light... Get a new bulb from me at the competition.

Light on 100% ....... you have it wired wrong.

Light on, no rotation.... bad motor or something is (screw) is jamming the mechanism.

Check:

PWM wire for correct color match-up, it is marked on the controller, look close.

Check for bent pins on controller.

Last 2 possibilitys if light is always on and the wiring is correct:

.... You messed with the program and screwed it up.

.... You have a bad controller.
