AndyMark Presents: Fight Night 2016

A couple weeks ago, while Andy was away in China, we had a little send-off tournament for our interns. The game? Robot combat!

The robots were made of cardboard, balsa wood, and three of our NeveRest motors with faulty encoders. Weapons could be made of polycarbonate or euroboard material, to encourage destruction. AndyMark was nice enough to give all of the teams $50 in small parts from the shelf and the run of the scratch and dent pile.

What resulted was awesome, and we rounded up all the footage we had to share with you all.

Ladies and gentlemen, we give you AndyMark Fight Night 2016.

Excellent use of scrap and imagination! The gala/melee during the last two minutes of the video is the best part.

This looks like a great team building exercise for teams to engage new students in the preseason (via subteams) to get them into working together and creative thinking.
