5012, Gryffingear. That'd be their typical non-button giveaway (they also do buttons)

I got a copy of Solidworks 2011 back at the champs in 2012 from 51.

Avoid the junky gimmicks and stick with things that are useful:

Pens, screwdrivers, USB flash drives, USB power pack charger things for your phone, measuring devices, etc. At trade shows, bags are useful, to collect all the other brochures from other vendors. CNC machined giveaways are cool too, in the right context. The nVidia video cards were cool.

For cooler master, what about a cooler, like, for drinks?

The best giveaway I've ever seen would be a motorcycle at SkillsUSA and a waterjet at IMTS.

My favorite giveaway was a transforming pen that I got from 2228.
I played with it so much it broke within 30 minutes.

My list of favorites:
1. The stuffed koalas from a team from Australia (3132), I can't remember what team and I can't get the koala now because I stepped on it accidentally and it broke. RIP my little friend.
2.Boeing gave out those speakers that you can attach to things to make THOSE things into speakers to whoever, and selfie sticks to whoever would take a selfie and post it on social media with some hashtag, I would never buy a selfie stick, but I wasn't going to turn down a free one
3. Team 2783 had a smashed penny machine, I love smashed pennies, and it's a great idea for a giveaway, wither the person can supply their own pennies for whatever spare change they ended up getting, OR you leave out a small pile of pennies for people to use in the machine, either the giveaway costs you 0 or 1 cent per item
4. 1736 ROBOT CASSEROLE gave out stress toys shaped like little chef hats, I didn't really use it but it was nice enough to mention it.
5. Team 3238 gave out little packets of stuff for CPR preparedness like a mask, gloves, rubbing alcohol wipe, and instruction card.

And an honorable mention to 4525 for an FRC trading card game (which wasn't a giveaway you had to order it on their website and then they would give you it the next day at comp) and for having a button series I actually WANTED to collect all of the copies for.

I love those koalas! If anyone from 3132 is listening, bring them to Houston next year!

Actually, I've thought a little more about this. I think my favorite FRC give away I've ever received is chocolate covered macadamia nuts from 368.

359 had awesome gift bags for the volunteers at Tech Valley. Chocolate covered Macadamia Nuts were just one of the many things included.

Two Sigma always gives away comfy shirts at NYC.

I was constrained to the pits this year, so I didn't manage to get one in my size. However, our captain got a second one for herself (a small. I wear a medium) and to my surprise it fit me perfectly :)

All of those sound cool! Why didn't anyone tell me about those?? :P At least I got a Boeing button, but when I got there I didn't see the speakers. I don't have one, but I saw a "Robot Repair Kit" given out by a team. Can't remember who, but it had band aids, cotton balls and swabs, zip ties, safety pins, a tissue, a funny item list/description card, and what would it be without duct tape? :D

More suggestions:
  • Keychains, especially if they're something useful like a screwdriver(maybe eyeglass screwdrivers for safety glasses)
Keychain/pocket tape measures, flashlights, or other tools(if you do flashlights, please use LEDs. Those single AAA cell pocket lights that use regular bulbs are better than nothing, but nearly useless.)
Since you're Cooler Master, pocket fans might be good :)
Maybe small radios or something similar, or some earbuds
    Phone cables
    Magnifying glasses
I think Swisscards can be custom made
That's all I can think of for now...

At Tech Valley, Team Rembrandts (4481) gave Dutch stroopwaffels to everyone waiting outside before the doors opened. Those were tasty.

The NYC Regional has always had some cool stuff given away. For ultimate Ascent I got some of the foldable "frisbees"( not sure if they are classified as actual frisbees or just flying fabric.)

Con Ed always gives out bags of some sort, usually string bags. One year they had great ones with shoulder straps like backpacks. Meaning when it got heavy with lots of items it wouldn't dig into your shoulders. Sadly mine ripped.

1511 gave us paracord bracelets when we were their alliance partners.

One of the turkish teams this year at Javitis came over giving out Turkish chocolates, which were amazing. I was happy to find out i could by them nearby.

2013 Champs Grainger gave away tons of desk organizes, they came with pens, pencils, a stapler, staple remover, paper clips and other objects of the sort.

Mine didn't make the flight back sadly. I stupidly packed it away in my suitcase underneath my laptop, and TSA was not happy with that one.
