Southside Indy team DESPERATE NEED OF VEX PARTS

Looking for a team or two that can possibly lend some VEX parts to our team, 1529 from Southport High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. The inventory of VEX materials previously available to us have been put into use exclusively for PLTW classes, so our team is left with no parts to build with for the VEX Starstruck competition. We also use VEX materials to teach new members of our team.

If you or your team have any extra parts you are willing to lend to our team, or even looking to sell extra parts, please let me know immediately!

Thank you also for taking the time to read this post and for your help and support! :)

Sincerely,
The 1529 Cybercards VEX Team

We have a box of vex stuff from a few years back (prob 6 or 7) It has the same metal I am pretty sure as well as some things like wheels. We would totally be willing to give it to you if you can provide shipping. Our school district is going the fll route and have a very small team so we really don't need it. I am pretty sure they probably have different electronics then what you use now so we are just going to keep those but I will check to make sure. Once I get an ok from my mentor I can send it pm me with shipping details.

We have a bunch of vex stuff from 5 years ago. I'll ask my mentor tomorrow and let you know.

Thank you all very much for such a helpful and immediate response. I will need to discuss the details with our team's mentors, but we are very interested and again extremely thankful for all of the support!

Good evening everyone, I am just hoping to check in. I have not heard any word from anyone recently so if you can PM me ASAP that would be fantastic! Thanks!

What specifically do you need? We are an FRC team, but we have a fair selection of parts sourced from Vex on hand. From my reading on this forum, I am aware that Vex has a robotics competition, but about there my knowledge of it ends.

You're looking for stuff from http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexedr rather than from http://www.vexrobotics.com/vexpro. Slight difference there--I'd have to run the numbers on how many VEX 393 motors it'd take to equal even one BAG motor, but it'd be quite a few.

Looks to be about 35 VEX 393(4.37 watts each)to equal one BAG motor :)

We are indeed looking for VEX EDR parts specifically, and are looking for really any parts we can use! :)
