Re: Registration 2017

1084 Regional teams + 878 District teams = 1962

If there is any action in the District events I can't see that too easily.

At 0 capacity:
Lake Superior
Los Angeles
Mexico City (never had more than 0 capacity listed)
Minnesota 10000 Lakes
Minnesota North Star
New York City
SBPLI Long Island
Seven Rivers (never had more than 0 capacity listed)
St. Louis
San Diego

In the single digits:

Alamo - 6
Arizona West - 9
Montreal - 6
Pittsburgh - 2
Miami Valley - 5
New York Tech Valley - 7
Northern Lights - 1
Shenzhen - 4
Silicon Valley - 6

Re: Registration 2017

As it's all-but-set-in-stone we're a one-regional team this year it's kinda fun to armchair quarterback this year's registration....

I'm very surprised to see HVR with only 5 teams, and most of those are TVR-local teams. (Even with NYC and LI full.) At the same time TVR is at 14 teams with 7 left open (and a holdback of at most 15 more).

TVR will play host to 3390 from Turkey, and 4083 from South Carolina, so far.

There are a few more TVR-local teams that have not registered yet, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

I know the Minnesota events only open just over half of the expected spots and waiting lists the remainder.

Yeah these numbers have surprised me. I expected TVR to have tons of space and HVR to have none, but I'm sure most downstate teams that would attend HVR as their second were making sure to get into NYC or LI first, so it makes sense.

5254 managed to get signed up for SBPLI Long Island, although I'm disappointed to see 229 didn't get in. It would have been nice to see any of our 2016 alliance partners at a regional, but oh well.

Trust me we would've loved to join you there.

Re: Registration 2017

I took into account all events (District as well as Regionals) and came up with 2089 teams assigned to specific events as of 9 pm.
This doesn't take into account any waitlisted teams at any of the filled events, of which there are 10.
If FIRST publishes totals those typically include the waitlisted teams, too.

The team and event search on the old USFIRST site seems to be working for me.
http://archive.usfirst.org/whats-going-on

It is not ideal but allows for manual look-ups of information.

According to that site, Team 511 - The Robodox, are registered for Los Angeles.

Robodox are Team 599. Wonder if there are any other oddities on the reg site.

Did they split into 2 teams?

Not to my knowledge. They sure acted like 1 team at the Fall Classic a couple weeks back from what I could see.

This appears to be fixed: 599 is now registered for Ventura, and I don't see 511 anywhere.

Greater Kansas City down to 7 slots left before we get to the waitlist.

43 of 50 open slots already taken.
  • Looking forward to seeing our friends from 624.
  • Hoping a slot sticks around for 1806 to play in their home regional. Good luck in Minnesota.
  • Noticed that 1710 appears to not be playing in KC for the 2nd year in a row. (Not their normal pattern) Always a Chairman's contender wherever they go.
  • 1939 venturing out to the St. Louis side of the state.

Am I crazy or did the Laguna Regional switch from Week 1 to Week 4?

I'm not saying you aren't crazy but that's correct.
