Some of the teams on your list, for example 3509, didn't play last year (or in 2015 either) that I can see.
I'm only counting teams who played last season.

From your list 3509, 4995, 5233, 6031, 6080, 6115, 6151 didn't play last season

5525 should be on your list but isn't (they played last year but aren't on an event list yet for this season).

I would be interested if someone with more time or access to the data could sort this by percentage of last year's teams for each area just to see how much these missing teams are for each area

For comparison I added a new registration plot to post 117 that is unadulterated and uses only the true dates rather than matching mile markers such as registration start or 2nd District opening.

Passed 2600 teams. 83% of last seasons total teams.

Just had a slew (slew~50) join this morning from Minnesota taking a bunch off their waitlists.

We've also had large groups of rookies scattered over events The biggest groups were 16 from Turkey and 18 in China.

I noticed the Turkey teams have already registered for two regionals. 6384 and 6435 are both registered for South Florida and Miami Valley.

Upon looking further, the other Turkey teams (who all seem to be from Istanbul) are not registered for two.

Mark,
Palmetto initial registration of 29 to date seems much lower than I remembered from this time last year. Thought we were greater than 40 after first registration and at capacity after second registration.

Could you have seen them as they were changing events in the FIRST database?
I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

The Turkish teams are spread over 14 Regionals with the most concentrated (5) being at South Florida.
I don't see any registered for more than one event.

I'm not sure. I'm looking at The Blue Alliance. I guess it's possible TBA may have cached it wrong.

Yeah, looking at the official team pages, I guess that must have been what happened. Weird.

Looks like TBA is out of date as 6384 is registered for Miami Valley but not South Florida and 6435 vice versa.

I kept the month/day but changed the 2016 year to 2015 just for the plot.

Thanks.. I was going to give it a few hours to let TBA update and make sure it wasn't a recent change before filing it as a bug.

After some further investigation, this seems like a bug on FIRST's side.

The team listings on frc-events.firstinspires.org for FLWP and OHSP have both teams (6384 and 6435) listed at both events:

Those pages show to be last modified on Oct 14 and Oct 11, so it seems like the inconsistency has been around for a few days. I'd assume the lasso page Brain linked above is correct since teams haven't registered for second events yet.

This one will probably fix itself tomorrow once more teams register and caches clear on FIRST's side and it propagates to TBA
