Dream Alliance of Stronghold

What would be the best alliance for playing a game of Stronghold?
(Outrageous match scenario Optional)

Re: Dream Alliance of Stronghold

IMO it'd have to be 971/195/254.

Together, they have a shot at pulling off 2 2-ball autos, all 3 can scale, and teleop high goal scoring is absolutely unreasonable.

EDIT: Other Honorable Mentions that could potentially be on the dream team:
-1678
-148
-2056

EDIT II: Obviously this alliance is optimized for triple offense strategy. If your idea of an ideal alliance is 2offense+1defense then that would obviously change things. Off the top of my head I can't single out a definitive #1 defense bot this season.

By IRI rules, these robots could have 3 2-ball autos ;)
I agree this may be the single highest scoring combination.

I personally would take 2056 over 195. Sacrifice the 2 ball for basically a bot that is very hard to defend/stop. But 195 is definitely on the list. Another team that I think deserves an honorable mention in regards to defense is 1405.

1678, 254, 971

With all three bots doing a 2 ball auto. (Low bar, rockwall/rough terrain, moat).

And all three bots can hang (if 254's hanger doesn't break)

971 and 1678 are phenomenal shooters, with 254 close behind.

I could easily see these teams having a over 300 point match.

971 had the most proven 2-ball auto during the competition season, so they definitely get a spot on the dream team.

The dream team would certainly not include a bot that specialized in defense during the season. Even if the dream team opted for a defensive strategy, one of their great offensive robots would easily fill this role.

1519, 1619, and 1719.

Another great alliance would be 2451 (PWNAGE), 4060 (SWAG), and 2202 (BEAST).

I'll think of more. Don't worry.

If we're going with 2 offensive bots and 1 defensive bot, it would have to be 971, 148, and 4607.

971 and 148 are both lightning fast shooters, have flawless autonomous and are nearly unblockable. They both also have really good drive teams and super consistent and fast climbers. 971 also has the most consistent 2 ball auto I've seen. These two robots alone could easily score 20+ boulders in the high goal.

On the defensive side, 4607 would be the best choice. I may be a little bias here, but 4607 was easily the best defensive bot this year. They pretty much shut down 5172 in this match. Their robot is fast, robust, and has strong pushing power. Their drivers know the best way to play defense. They know where to go, when to do it, and how to do it. 4607 also can score a few boulders in the low goal, and they have a consistent climber.

I'm pretty sure this alliance would beat out any other potential "dream team", even those with 3 offensive bots. Plus it's also the only "dream team" alliance that actually realistically could have existed. I considered putting 5172, 254, and 2056 in over 148. But 148 has a better climber than 2056, more robust and consistent than 254, and can handle defense better than 5172.

Once I saw this alliance I was like this is the team that'll win it all. Was surprised to see that not occur. But the opposing alliance was pretty good too.

2056 148 1678
1678 254 971
1241 1678 33
971 254 148
118 987 254
148 118 1254

148 233 and 33 have best defense physicallyproven tbh the best defense comes from powerhouses

my point is any combo of 2056 971 1678 254 148 118 33 1241 987 is how it should go down cause these teams used other routes than low bar, good with or without defense and very adaptable on the fly and have to have 2016 season drive teams cause they know their robots best
