Team/Org Annual Report Examples?
 

The non-profit organization that manages all of our robotics teams is looking for examples of annual reports from teams or similar non-profit groups.

Does anyone have examples they can share?

What kind of information would you include if you were creating an annual report for your team?

When our report is complete, I will be sure to share it on CD.

Many nonprofits that aren't FIRST teams make annual reports on their main projects that year, how well they are doing financially, and whether they hit their "purpose" for existing or not.

FIRST themselves are a nonprofit, can can be to an extent, considered the "pinnacle" of FIRST team nonprofit reports (for clear reasons.) They exist "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology", with their 4 main programs being FLL Jr., FLL, FTC, and FRC. [1] In addition, one of 1257's sponsors / supporting organizations is also a nonprofit and created an annual report to show their supporters what they'd done. [2]

If you're looking for just the annual report of an FRC team, they cover much of the same content, addressing what their goals for the season were, how well they did, and their income / expenses, as well as outreach in terms of community support. For most intents and purposes, the business plan of an FRC team is their "annual report." For example, see the attached files. [3&4]

As for what I would personally include would be the following:

• Team Growth over 1/3/5 years.
• Student / Mentor Split (and gender breakdown)
• Effectiveness of team (are you doing well/ aren't you?)
• Financial Statement
• Outreach!
• Reach (number of kids effected by your team positively)
• Opportunities (aka what FIRST kids can do post-grad because of their FIRST experience)

Do a search for Entrepreneurship Award and/or Business Plan.
You'll have a few hits of good examples for what could be used as a team annual report.
