Labview for rookie teams?
I'm involved with a rookie team this year, which means we don't have much of anything... I wanted to start digging into Labview early with the students, but I wasn't sure if we could even get access to a copy until kickoff? Does anyone know of a way, or are we stuck waiting till January to start diving in?

Re: Labview for rookie teams?
there are two methods.
1) you can buy a student version http://store.digilentinc.com/labview-home-bundle/\ 2) If you are working with a team that uses labview they can help you out. Last year i contacted FIRST and Labview about this issue and they allowed me to share my code with the new team |
Re: Labview for rookie teams?
Ah, thanks! We do have contacts with a couple other teams in the area, I'll have to ask around and see what we can find. Thanks!

Re: Labview for rookie teams?
You can also download LabVIEW 2015 and the FRC update (last year's software) today and get started, even if you don't have a key today it should give you at least a 30 day trial. The documentation site is fairly comprehensive, and I am sure their support team may also be able to help.

Re: Labview for rookie teams?
Thanks Doug! It looks like we can get the 6 month student version at the least, which should tie us over for now, but if we have any issues I will let you know. Thanks!

Re: Labview for rookie teams?
The student edition will work to learn basic LabVIEW programming. It will not work for FRC or with the FRC update.
