This is a very simplistic and amazing logo.

Re: pic: VorTX logo
I am a big fan of the rebranding done by VorTX this off-season.
Rebranding is something a lot more teams should look into. It has been a huge success for several Texas teams including Spectrum and Texas Torque over the years. |
Re: pic: VorTX logo
I have to say some credit goes to Allen and Scott for sharing some great tips around rebranding during the TX mentors conference this past summer.

Re: pic: VorTX logo
I love the logo. Great colors and great simplicity. But it bothers me a little that it is not quite rotationally symmetrical.

Wow! The new logo looks great, can't wait to see the rest of the new branding at events this year. Great job 3735!

What software did you use?

Re: pic: VorTX logo
The logo is very visually appealing, but I would recommend incorporating your team number into the logo. My team has discovered that team number needs to be in all branding, so that other teams can remember your number for alliance selections.

Re: pic: VorTX logo
The team developed the logo and logo type in photoshop. The students first tried using fiverr with very poor results (I have never really had a good experience with that service). In the end, the team developed the logo on their own. Now is their big rollout across the board for competition season (twitter, instagram, facebook, web, appearal, pit design and robot)

Re: pic: VorTX logo
Nice idea.
Just 2 things. The inner triangle has a strong line and the continuation of the inner green solid part of the V has another line. I would like to see those lines aligned. Another way of saying this is to position the top of the white triangle inline with the bottom edge of the green mini-V. Do the same thing for each side. As you look at the image think about the look of the empty space (negative space). For example: can you see the arrow in the background created by the "E" and the "x" in FedEx? http://www.fedex.com/us/ My second point is that the tool to use is Adobe Illustrator or Fireworks. These programs are used in industry because they are vector based programs and allow the art work can be resized with minimal effort. Dave |
