Event Registrations and TheBlueAlliance

I'm curious how often TheBlueAlliance updates from the FRC api, and how they remove old registrations. It seems like there might be a bug because the data from FIRST does not match exactly with what is on TBA. It looks like updates happen but removing old registrations does not. For an example, note that TBA says 125 and 151 are still registered for Greater Boston, and while they may indeed choose it as a 3rd event, they are not currently registered teams.

I don't know why that is, but I sure do hope 125 is going to the Greater Boston event or else I have several questions

Current plan is to register there as our Third. We saw it had a lot of spots open and wanted to secure spots at events that were filling faster.

TBA pulls data from FIRST once every 24 hours. In the case you specified, FIRST does indeed list 125 and 151 as registered for 2017mabos, which explains why TBA is showing it.

You can see that these two pages have the same team list:
https://frc-events.firstinspires.org/2017/MABOS (which is populated by the same data source TBA draws from) and https://www.thebluealliance.com/event/2017mabos

But the old-style page from FIRST doesn't have those two teams in question listed:
https://my.usfirst.org/myarea/index....17&event=mabos

So perhaps the bug is with the FIRST api or website or somewhere within FIRST.

The old-style page, and this "new" page: http://www.firstinspires.org/team-ev...event?id=22511 show both 125 and 151 not attending (yet), while the one you pasted: https://frc-events.firstinspires.org/2017/MABOS does show them. Clearly there is a bug somewhere, since a team cannot be registered for 3 events yet.

We plan on competing as Bailey said. Please do keep in mind, hosting an event, especially at one of our high schools puts a HUGE tax on the entire team. We're running super lean and thin and many key cogs in our 'well oiled competition machine' go missing, so NOT competing at the event actually would alleviate a lot of pressure on our team.

That being said, the above is obviously not our style which is why we're planning on competing.

Yeah, I can't even imagine. I wondered when I saw you guys move to Pine Tree if you were just going to focus on hosting or if you were going to try to do both (host and compete). We'd love to provide some volunteers if that is helpful.
