Hello out there..........

I would like to get a counter strike tournment going.....

This tournment would convine before the build started and if not woudl continue after the build ends. Each team would consist of 5 people.

First of all we need a server..... I may be able to provide one on my new computer if I get it soon enough, but if not I would appreciate somebody else donating their time to have a dedicated server durring the matches.

This woudl be a standard elimination match with the teams randomly picked to face each other in the first round. Then moving into a standard bracket elim system)

Here are the rules for playing.

Rounds will be 1/2 hour rounds. With the "A" team choosing the first map and the "B" team choosing the side. Then there will be a switch where the "B" team chooses the map and the "A" team chooses the side.

Scores will be solely by team score and the winner will be determined that way. In case of a tie. The winner will be determined by each teams top player and comparing their kill/death ratio.

Maps must be ran through the person who is running the server to make sure it is a fair map to both teams. (Dust, Dust 2, Siege, IceWorld, Poolday, Rats, ect....) bad maps like assault are not allowed because it favors one team over the other.

Awp's are not allowed at all!!!!!!!! Also spawn killing will result in a -1 in team score to be kept by the moderator of the game.

I used to play a lot of TFC and have no problem doing that instead of CS. (It is easier to have tournemnt play in TFC too).

I'd do it if it was TFC. I love TFC (and Natural Selection, too), but I'v never really gotten the hang of CS.

You could always change the poll to add in TCF for voting...

btw-If you haven't seen/played Natural Selection yet, i highly recommend that you check it out. It's an excellent mod for HL, that i bet you can expect to see a retail version of soon.

the poll isnt very important to me, posting if you are interested helps a lot more because then i know who you actualy are.

Yeah you're right, Battle.net can be pretty unstable.. I have half-life, but I gotta update it and that is going to take .. oh I'd say about a day :(

The person who is the admin to this server goes to my highschool and rents it out on a t1 line so it has a great connection, and the maps change to what most people request.

If you ever want to find any FIRST people playing CS, use http://www.gametiger.com to search for what server they are in. It works pretty well.


If i'm playing i'll be using the name "Super-Monkey" and i may have a 45 at the end sometimes.

my clans server: 65.28.215.104 (there is no :27015 trust me)
my clan is not on our server too much but if anybody wants to play my 1v1 im me SoccerRefFreak. We will most likely use this server for the games.

Half-Life automatically appends ":27015" to the end of any host or ip address you connect to, you never need to type it. If the server is running on a different port, you have to specify it.

Jim I know it sounds weird but it is true, I was puzzled the first time my clan head gave it to me, but it is true.

Thats right folks, its time to form teams!!!!!!

This can be either for TFC or CS.

I will pst the rules for TFC if we have enough interest.

New rule: There only has to be one FIRST member on the team, that person will be the captain, this should make it easier for people to form teams.

please let me know if you have a team assembled. I am lookign to start the tournment a week after Turkey Day.

If you let old guys play, and if I can find some free time, I'll join in a CS game.

By all means you are welcome to get a team together. Matches will be held on the convience of the two teams so it shoudl all work out. If we do hit the build, we will break until the build ends.
