RGB LED Strip Question on cars

Hi everyone,

I just signed up here because a good friend of mine used to go to these forums,he said he knew a few people here that could answer my question better than he could.

The other day I saw a car (I believe it was a GTI) and had rgb LED light strips underneath the car in sync with the music.

I was searching around and found this post http://bestrgbledstrips.com/2016/11/18/rgb-led-strip-arduino/ that talks about an actual possibility on using Arduino coding with the actual LED Strip kit, to connect to your car.

Can some please help me if they have freetime? I would like to know how this is done. I'm going to a Christmas event and I wanted to have my car match some songs for a certain competition.

Re: RGB LED Strip Question on cars

Probably the easiest thing to do is find some LED strips that respond to sound. These are already sold commonly. Just look up 'sound reactive LED' or 'sound activated LED' on google and you'll find lots of strips that will respond to music. If you want to do it yourself using an Arduino, this instructable is a good start.
