If someone wants to update this spreadsheet for 2017, that would be awesome. I'll probably work on it tomorrow

Sure. Just let me know or fix it if I mess something up.

I wish they had Nvidia Quadros on there again. Useful for CAD towers.

I ran my python script to collect as much as I can by scraping the source of the pages. Doesn't incorporate cost yet though (or comparisons to past years): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Can anyone tell if there is a meaningful difference between fc17-041 and fc17-135 (the two solenoids)?

Some of the item numbers are different, but the items in the photos seem the same, but there is a 50 credit difference between the two.

Looks like the more expensive (credit wise) one includes these:

Code:

2 x 24V Electrical Sub Base for actuating (566716)
I believe that is the 24V version of this, the electric actuator for actually triggering the solenoid. So, if you got the solenoid which is less credits you'd need that anyways.

In the name of sanity and thread hygiene, all the NeveRest 60 talk has been collated in this thread.

But the cheaper one seems to come with that in 8042548 (by looking at festo's website). One small thing makes me wonder if the cheaper one requires a manifold base (but I am deeply unsure - especially since the cheaper one is the one in the rookie kit).

A definitive answer would be fantastic.

Sanity? Thread Hygiene? Whoa - this is Chief Delphi, isn't it? - yes, there's the number 47 on the tab.

I never thought of the possible downside of spending time with Andy Baker until now...

Unfortunately, the motor thread is now a mess due to it having all the minibot comments in it. I'm sure that it'll refocus though.

As a second year team we don't want to dismantle our robot from last year, is the control systems (robo rio, pdp, ect.) included in the KOP or should we get them through first choice?

Re: [FRC Blog] FIRST Choice 2017

The control system is not included for vets, so you'll have to acquire it through FIRST Choice or direct purchase through AndyMark.

Veteran teams (aka, not rookie teams) do not get a control system in their Kickoff Kit, so I would recommend you pick up those components on FIRST Choice.

If you click on the links to the various FIRST Choice components, they will say if they are in the Kickoff Kit or not. There are three options - "Yes", "No" and "Rookie Tote Only", so they make it easy to tell what stuff on FIRST Choice each team will also be getting in their Kickoff Kit.

You can also look at the 2016 kickoff kit inventory sheets and look at what was in the Yellow Tote. Those were "rookie only" items last year (veteran teams did not get a yellow tote). 2017 kit contents will be somewhat different but it's a good baseline to see what stuff you might want to pick up before the season that's not available on FIRST Choice.
