- The #1 alliance will not win at any events
- The #5 alliance will win dcmp

*Emphasis mine

Well, if the Cubs can finally win a world series...

I'll take it. The number of times 461 had to go against 1741 last season (11 times out of 13 pairings) I wouldn't mind playing on the same side and winning an event this year.

By "pairings", do you mean the times you were in the same match? If I remember correct, 461 came out on top in most of those.

I gotta say 234 will probably be winning IRI too, with a home field advantage.

For the majority of off-season events, there is usually the opposite of home field advantage. Team resources that would be put into attempting to win the event are often tied up in running the event, so teams hosting events don't always do as well as they normally do.

I can understand why people would think that just because 234 is hosting the event doesn't mean they can win it. However, that's not really my only reasoning. They are just a very consistent and strong team. Anyway, we still have no clue what can happen, need to wait for it...:yikes:

None of the host teams (45, 234, 1024) have ever won IRI. Indiana team wins are far and few between - I think 71 has one or two and that's it. I've spent quite a bit of time studying the banners at that event. :]

The only team I remember even making elims at IRI in recent years is 447 in 2014. It's the corn curse :ahh:

45 was an alliance captain at IRI this past year. I believe 1024 and 868 made elims as well.

3947 was the 7th alliance captain their first or second year.

234 "made elims" (Edit: at IRI) in 2015 as a backup for our alliance. It was the #8 alliance that went to the semis and almost got to the finals. But our robot never competed in any of those matches. Our noodle thrower got a few points for the alliance, (plus 2122 was a real sleeper pick that year. The announcer called them a 'value pick' if I remember right) :D

My guess for Indiana this year will be that a few good teams won't get to go to worlds this year because our worlds spots aren't really going to go up any and consistency issues. Any team who is consistent will get to go to worlds. I think last year was a good example of how good robots didn't go to worlds from IN due to only having 9 or 10 spots and lack of consistency by those bots.

My guess is that 1024 will finally lose an IN event (who knows, maybe they will be the 2056 of IN).

My bold guess will be that any team who has practiced any type of football shooting will be good this year. This also serves a game prediction... I just have a feeling about footballs being a game piece this year. :D

Well I feel like the fact that a couple of good teams will not be able to go to champs kind of happened last year. I mean just thinking about it I can remember 71, 1741, 4982, 3940 all didn't go through and those are some pretty good teams. But yes, I have to agree that I believe that at least 4 or 5 teams will get the short end of the stick if you will.

Also, 1024 hasn't lost an IN event yet?!:ahh:

They're on a 6 (I think) event win streak for IN.

I loves the bytes but I believe their current streak is 2.
