Competition in October/November

Some of my friends and I were talking about holding a competition in October or November at Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, MA. We're wondering if any teams are interested. One of the advantages to this is that most people are back in school and have a semi-normal life. The other is that you can use it for promotion of FIRST to bring kids to see an actual competition. Post here or email me with an idea of if your team could come and how many people you think you would bring. Feel free to email me at leon4th@aol.com. Thanks.

I'm not sure about the rest of my team... but i would definitely love a competition in the start of teh school year. Althought it owuld be kind of wierd having a competition in that timeframe... if it happens... be sure to let us know.

RAGE would probably be in for that. I'll bring it up at one of our meetings.

We'd probably partake as long as it wasn't in conflict with anything else of minor importance to us... open houses... mid-terms... finals...

We won't be coming to anything that far away but...

One of the California teams hosted a competition in September last year. It was very successful and helped teams reform for this year. It is also a great way to introduce new team members to what it's all about. It would certainly be a service to any teams that choose to take advantage of it.

I'm in but don't know about the rest of the Rambots

It would be great if there was a competition at Bridgewater around September/October. I'll talk to a few of my friends and teammates about this. Some of us should be very interested about this.

Team 353 would be interested as all students would be back from summer camp (the reason we didn't go to Battlecry :( )

Jeff Wong 26-06-2001 21:11

i doubt it..

i think our student advisory probably don't wants us to go and get ready for the start of school. Also we need approval from our school. Our school is that crazy. Also we don't start school until the monday after labor day.

Yay, Competitions!

I would love to come to your competition! Talking my team leader into yet another competition shouldn't be to hard, I'll just make my team cough up some more money cause we're poor :). We may not have money but we like to compete so we foot the bill :). When you get more info make sure you send it my way!

It doesnt matter if youre poor...I know my team is tightly budgeted too, but think of it this way....how good does it make your team feel to go to these things? Do they really enjoy going? If they do, then you really have decide that its only money...you can always fundraise more. If you need help with fundraising tips, let me know ;)

Fundraising Tips...

Jess, if you have any fundraising tips you could give me they would be very much appreciated, maybe my team could make enough to finally purchase some tools!!!!

What's a budget?

Anyhow, I'm always game for a competition in my area. Weather the rest of the team is or not I'm not sure, but for the Big E last September, there were 3 kids and 2 engineers that we took, and that was a blast.
