How many gears can be on the lift for the 2017 challenge

Hi, our team the gogebic range robotics, team 6614, is a rookie year. We were wondering how many gears can be on the lift at one time? We know that there can be only one gear per bot. Thanks

As far as I can tell, there is no rule indicating the limit for the number of gears on the lift.

The spring deformation is probably your limiting factor here.

But really, it seems so quick to raise the lift anyway that I don't think there will be any reason to attempt this.
