How many custom ropes?

Which of these is the correct interpretation of section 4.2 paragraph 4?

I would assume [Each] because they did not specify drive team per alliance. I agree that it could be misread if you really try. It's clear the intent is "Each"

Q&A it, but a logical interpretation is that every team is allowed to provide their own rope.

And if one team constructed three ropes, there's nothing preventing each of the alliance partners presenting identical ropes.
