Slide Drive Thoughts

Hello, I am with team 2854 and we have been using a typical 6 wheel tank drive/ kop chassis for our previous seasons. This season we have been considering a slide drive to increase our ability to precisely place and receive gears. Does anyone have any thoughts on slide drives during this season? Also, we were wondering if anyone knows if we can turn our kop chassis into a slide drive. (We have seen it done in previous years.)

I'm sorry to say that at this point of the game, designing a slide drive as well as coding it and getting the frame setup could be problematic. Also, remember the, in my opinion, strong potential for defense in this game where having some pushing power could be beneficial.
