New QDriverStation version!

I have released another version of the QDriverStation, here are some of the new features:
  • Transition to LibDS-C, which is far more efficient and does not have external dependencies
  • Avoid crashes when inputting invalid network addresses
  • Several UI fixes and improvements
You can get the latest version here: https://github.com/FRC-Utilities/QDr...leases/latest/
Also, you can browse the components of the project here: https://github.com/FRC-Utilities/

As always, feel free to report any issue that you may encounter using GitHub, Gitter or by emailing me.

This is great! QDriverStation has been really helpful in being able to quickly debug issues on the robot when using Linux, and I'm glad that there's active development :)

Thanks for making this!

Thanks! This is great. 90% of the students on my team have a Mac. This is fantastic.

QDriverStation is a life saver for an all-mac team like mine!

I'm incredibly happy to see that QDS continues to be developed.

Out of curiosity, is there any specific reason that FIRST remains insistent on using a DS that runs exclusively for Windows, despite the roboRIO, Jetson, Rpi, and radio all running Linux?

Totally not a FOSS advocate, nope.

I believe the claim as to why they haven't opened it up is "safety" because no other program is capable of telling a robot to not move.

I would really like if FIRST went to open source versions of all of its software, such as replacing the FMS with CheesyArena and replacing the Driver Station with QDriverStation. Obviously, they would probably need to ensure that they can maintain them, but so far both are doing well without the FIRST intervention.
