Problem Connecting to FRC Driver Station

Hello,
Our team is having some issues with the FRC Driver Station. We have downloaded the new Driver Station on all of our computers and they seem to be having the same issue. We just cannot get a connection between the Driver Station and the Control System. We have configured the new d-link (which was successful) and then pinged the robo rio (using USB) and the d-link through wifi. Both pings were 100% successful. That darn green light just won't turn on! Has anyone else had this problem before.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for any help!
Team 4779

Turn off your firewall and any anti-virus or third party firewall management software to see if that's what's blocking the mDNS resolution.

BTW, It's not that you can't use a firewall, it's just that it takes some effort to setup any required exceptions, and just turning off the firewall is often easier for most people.
When the software gets installed sometimes people make the wrong choices, like don't trust this software, make this a public network instead of Home, etc.

Also the robot network should be treated as a Private or Home network if Windows asks (ot a Public one which is more restrictive).

Can you ping the roborio via wifi? That is the way the DS is expecting to talk to the RoboRio.

Might want to start with tethered. Once you get that working, then get wifi working.

I can ping the robot using wifi. And through a wired connection, that darn light just does not want to turn green!
