Robots and drivers on same side?

We have tried to find a definitive answer to the question of "Is the robot on the same side of the field as the driver?" but cannot. The animation makes it look like driver and robot are working on the same side of the field as in Recycle Rush. When discussing with another team, it was said that the robots are on the opposite side of arena as in last year's game. Which one is correct?

You start and shoot on the side closest to your drivers. However, your main source of human-fed fuel and gears will be on the opposite side of the field.

Look at the colors of Figure 3-2 (PDF), including tape lines. The red airship is nearest the red alliance station. The red boiler is nearest the red alliance station. The red retrieval zone is nearest the blue alliance station. The red loading lane is behind and to the side of the blue alliance station.

The robots start on your side of the field, and interact with the airship closest to you, but must cross the entire field to receive a gear.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

You start on your side. You shoot from your side and you place gears and climb from your side.

You get gears from the other side.

See Figure 3-2 and following in the manual; things are color coded red and blue. Note that labels on figure 3-24 were updated in the first team update.

The alliance station, launch pad, air ship, key, overflow loading station, and boiler for each alliance are all located at one end, with their Loading Lane, Return Loading Statin and Retrieval Zone at the far end.

For the most part, your your robot will be on the side closer to your own drivers. Your airship (which you score gears on and climb the rope) is on your drivers' half of the field. Your boiler is the one next to your driver station. However, the feeder station is on the opposite side of the field in your opponent's launchpad.

Essentially, all scoring will be done close to your driver station. Getting gears/fuel from the feeder station and (probably) most defense will be played on the side far from your driver station.

Note the diagram at the beginning of section 3.1 for a pretty self-explanatory diagram

An interesting result of scoring on the same side where your drivers are standing, is that teams who have elected to use exceedingly bright lights to illuminate the target tape (at least that's what they say those bright lights are for) will be blinding their own alliance members instead of the competition!

Cool!
