Interesting faces.
Quick thing about Ink n Paint: Last I checked, it's about two times slower than radiosity, which takes 20 minutes to calculate for a scene about 1/10 as complex as we're having in our final animation which would just look terrible without it. So, really, unless you're running 2+ ghz machines with at least 768 if not 1024 of ddr ram, I don't suggest Ink n Paint, no matter that it looks REALLY sweet. Of course, that's just my opinion. I'd really like to see someone with 2 or 3 weeks straight of render time to put together a Cel shaded animation (if they have the massive skill to do humans, maybe even an anime-based submission ^.^) |
well, i do work for a place with giant server racks... perhaps i can steal their unused cycles. lets see, 10 racks * 20 servers * 1gb ram a piece (on avg)...
Too bad they dont have gfx cards. Maybe my new job will have some nice farm. They do video compression... Heehee |
well..if you worked like or team..cell shading would be possible..start rendering some sequences in week 3-4 and you'd be okay. Net rendering on just a couple computers that are decnt, wouldn't be tough at all...but an anime qulaity render would be tough..I agree.
