A couple weeks ago there was a community college person at our site and she wrote on the board Zerox. At least she got the last x right.

Bins

call them bins. thats what they are

Bduggan04 04-01-2003 22:14

How about Sterlite model #1730 73 quart Glacier Blue storage bins. Or we could just call them bins, but it would be funny to hear annoucer read off the first one.

Digo 04-01-2003 22:17

Manoel and I were discussing about it today and we decided to call it CAIXA. :D

In english I vote for box. Container is way too long, and we say A LOT the field and robot components' names during the 6 weeks, so I like the idea of having this little votation. :)

DanLevin247 04-01-2003 22:20

Bin. Definatly Bin.

Caixa? is that portuguese for bin or box. Maybe we could get that to catch on here. That is if I knew how to say it.

Hahahaha, funny as heck. We just say "Box"

Dinush 04-01-2003 22:33

that's a great idea!

you will not hear me say any of those. No way. I don't like those names. Kufsa is what I am going to call them! (that's Hebrew for box)

Although, this is true, and all day today we called them boxes. I'm thinking bins, because i just can't see a plastic rubbermaid type thing as a box.:)

groves 04-01-2003 23:16

weve been calling them rubbermaids

yep

Where the heck did you see this? If they were riveted on why would it mention the tops coming off in the rules? I didn't see any rivets during kickoff...

And they aren't rubbermaids, they are difficult to find Sterilites!

BandChick 05-01-2003 08:55

whatever. the brand name isn't important. but it is in the manual that they are going to be pop-riveted shut. so thats why they say box.
