As far as I know this information has never been published.

What have you got so far?

Rickertsen2 06-01-2003 00:52

just what is in the maunal.(the stuff about making a disable dongle and changing the channel.

In the original "Yellow Dongle" Paper, there is a connection to the power on pin 1 (I beleive), and this pin is NOT powered on tether. It appears to be connected to the Wall Wart +9V input. We know of 5, 6, 8(=ground) from the recently published Dongle for autonomous mode, elsewhere in this forum, and "DO NOT use 12". from a post last year.

Innovation First has released the pinout

Just discovered it there on their dodumentation page: Competition Port Pinout Guide: How to build a channel adapter, plus Autonomous On/Off and Enable/Disable switches.

Where do we get parts to build this? All we are given in the kit is the Connecter DB15P Soldier Cup

This isn't really an official piece of the control system, so parts needed to build it are not provided. You should be able to find everything you need at Radio Shack.

The connection to the competition port is provided by FIRST during competitions.

What you need for practice can be purchased anywhere... I suggest Radio Shack.

I just finished soldering the plug. I am going to try to get the switches for the Disable and Autonomus Mode today. I bought the DB15 connector, and the wire, from a 3rd-party shop.

I have called two RadioShack's, and visited one. They do NOT carry the two-row DB15 male solder-pin connector. They will have a monitor 15-pin connector, though.
