System Memory

Somewhat related to computer graphics...

For a 2.4ghz Pentium 4 w/533mhz FSB, would you prefer:

512mb PC3200 (400mhz) DDR

or

512mb PC2100 (266mhz) Dual Channel DDR

Gimme some thoughtful suggestions. Thanks.

I don't know. I would like 4096 megs, 1024 is ok.

pc2100 dual channel, definately. thats effectively much more bandwidth, since the speed is going to be 133mhz doubled no matter what, even with the faster ram, and the dual channel gives you a bus thats twice as wide for the same speed

Lucky :P I only have a PII with 256 megs of SDRAM... Modeling works fine with it, course, no animating on it; that's the job of a very powerful system one of our teachers has.
