How many Van door motor(s) come with the kit?
 

The manuel say we get 1 van door motor with the kit, but team 115 just opened their kit on Saturday, and they found 2 van door motor in the kit. Is this a typo on the manuel, or did FIRST accidentally sent them an additional one?

Yes, there were two Van Door Motors in the Kits.

But what to use for drive train?
The Van Doors (my favorite) or the new drill motors
with prefabricated mounting hardware?

One of the rookie teams I am working with got 1 van door motor. Since that was the number on the list we were satisfied that they had recieved what they were entitled to. My team has not yet inventoried our kit, that will be done tonight. I will check with our other rookie team whe I see them tonight.

As delighted as I was at the return of the van door motor, it is disturbing to have this discrepancy in the numbers.

We also only recieved one van door motor...

Something sounds fishy and it's not my feet....

We only received one Van Door Motor. The Kit of Parts list in the manual says one motor and, until otherwise told by FIRST in an "official" team update, you should plan on only using 1.
